Tell us a little about yourself:
I run Opening Bell Farms. My horses are currently Cardigan and Sandcastle. I’ve been riding since I was 3 years old and showing on the circuit since I was 6. I mainly do hunters and compete in the greens, performance, and derbies. I've always had a dream of running my own business in Florida so I slowly worked my way here from California and eventually merged with Opening Bell Farms in 2023.
What’s an important lesson you've learned from horses?
There is always something to learn from everyone, and every horse. You put that in your toolbox because you never know when you’re going to need it.
Do you have a routine or item for good luck before a competition? If so, what is it?
My Timmy necklace. A necklace in memory of my past horse Timmy.
Who inspires you to push further, show up more, and to keep striving to the next level?
My friends. I have an amazing group of close professional friends and we all share our successes, or sometimes our losses, and support each other and push for each other to be better.
If you weren't a professional rider, what would you do?
A singer or song writer!
